LuaLua
was established in 2006. The company believes in providing a reliable,
friendly and individual service to its customers. It is a small fast
growing, entrepreneurial company, looking for and taking opportunities to
supply a variety of products and services
LuaLua has the advantage of being being
a
wholly owned Zambian company.
We are frequently asked why we we named our
company LuaLua. It is named after a small stream which formed one of the boundaries
of Kasembo Farms. We have extensively researched the name lualua. A local
man from Kasama said that a long time ago a type of frog called luo lived
by the stream in the short grass, called luani. People called that
grass luani lwa luo which means grass of frogs. This was later shortened
to lualuo.
LuaLua was set up as an independent company
initially to buy spares and tyres for Kasembo Transport and then expand
into the local market by selling these items and developing other lines.
LuaLua's offices and warehouses are part of
the Kasembo's premises, so close links are maintained between the two
companies. LuaLua has developed its business through selling truck,
4X4 and passenger tyres, Volvo truck spare parts and filters to local
businesses, individuals and the mining industry
LuaLua also supplies materials, tools and
safety equipment to the mines It has also supplied transformers,
generators and high voltage products to the mining industry and the the
electricity supply industry.
Although our current compliment of staff is
small, they are skilled and experienced people who can offer advice in
their individual areas of expertise. They are also able to call upon a
other highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable people.
LuaLua is currently registered with a
number of mines and industries to supply both goods and services.
